Lin Mitchell is a Management Communication Consultant who supports organizations, leaders, and individuals to improve performance, facilitate solutions, and achieve desired results. She is known for her ability to connect with people at all levels of the organization.

She is a certified facilitator with Franklin Covey and has conducted workshops and seminars in 42 states over the past 23 years. She is currently a Contract Instructor with Wake Technical Community College, Durham Technical Community College, and several other community colleges across the state of North Carolina, where she customizes programs and designs corporate solutions. She is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Professional. In addition, she is certified to teach with Development Dimensions International (DDI), Achieve Forum, Sollah Interactive LLC, Vital Smarts, and DiSC.  She excels at coaching, facilitating groups, and working with teams in the fields of Industry, Government, Health Care, Education, and Law Enforcement.

Lin has been on the faculty of Duke in the Department of Psychiatry taught in the Duke Medical School and in the Fuqua School of Business MBA program, as well held positions in Hospital Education, Human Resources-L&OD, and as Operations Manager for the IRB. She has been a Presentation Coach in the UNC-Kenan Flagler Business School in the EMBA & WEMBA Programs.  She has also been a Health Improvement Leader with the Duke Live for Life Employee Wellness Program.

She works to inspire leaders, managers, and individuals to achieve greater professional effectiveness and more meaningful personal contributions.  She is a respected consultant, teacher, dynamic and entertaining speaker and an experienced group facilitator with contagious enthusiasm and “can do” attitude.  She conducts many seminars, retreats, and workshops on management issues, effective communication, professional and personal development, in addition to wellness and prevention topics with her “down-to-earth” style that offers many insights, strategies, and practical tips.

Lin is married to Dr. Calvin Mitchell, a retired Duke Ophthalmologist.  They live part-time in Durham, NC, and Key West, Florida.  Lin is involved in the community as Regent of the William Hooper Chapter of NCSDAR.  She enjoys history, genealogy, music, and the arts and their family farm in Chatham County.
